The Mega Sena lottery in Brazil has three prize levels. In order to win the lottery jackpot players must match six numbers from 1 to 60. Players who match five or four numbers also win prizes. The year 2008 also saw a very large jackpot being handed out, though nothing to rival the 1999 record breaking jackpot. The largest jackpot paid out in Brazil from Mega Sena in 2008 was worth R$53.1 million, which was shared by two winners.
Another notable Mega Sena jackpot win occurred in the third draw held in January of 2007, which was worth a whopping R$52.8 million.
